Hyojeong Nuri Proposal 9/20/23 by Thanh

  • Twice-a-month, 40-minute gatherings for young families focusing on ages 0-4 starting on October 10, 2023.

  • Twice-a-month Zoom calls for parents to be able to connect, share and get advice. The first zoom call will be on October 3, 2023.

My wife and I listened to Rev. Demian’s sermon while sitting in her parent’s home in Japan. Before departing America, we had just completed (2) 40-day prayer conditions at CSW with the goal to understand the essence of True Mother. We learned that the essence of True Mother is Hyojeong, and that True Parents are the ones who bring the seed of that essence. That seed is received by all blessed children who must be nurtured in the right environment to grow. Hyojeong Nuri or “Hyojeong World” is that environment.

I see that seed in my daughters. Every room has a picture of True Parents and Mai often times say, “Aboji, Omani, Aju!” and points to the picture. She joins us in offering kyeongbae before prayer, beating us to the floor. Mai loves dancing along with the HJ Nuri videos.

Twice-a-month is not enough to nurture that seed, but we hope to increase it to once-a-week after we further develop the program.

The program will consist of:

  • Two Korean Songs from HJ Nuri

  • HDH Reading focusing on interaction between Parents and Children

  • Play-Time and Snacks

Some of the HDH material we will have to create ourselves. The Japanese Kogensha store did not have many resources for educating children under 4 years old. They cannot read, so they have to learn mainly through song and dance.

My wife wonders if there are more resources in Korea. Even if they are only in Korean, we can translate them.

Hyojeong Nuri Proposal 7/16/23 by Thanh

I had never heard of the Hyojeong Nuri until Rev. Demian Dunkley shared it with me on July 4th. I found videos on YouTube.

I would like to propose a LV Hyojeong Nuri.

Mission: Create an environment so that all the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th generation can grow beautifully.

Vision: Twice-a-month gathering for families with young children. Once-a-week Zoom call for parents with young children to support one another.

I don’t have the resources to do large events like the Hyojeong Nuri Festivals, but I was thinking about modeling a twice-a-month gathering after the Baby and Toddler Story- Time my children sometime attend at our local library.

Baby Story Time - 30 minutes of songs and finger games for kids with a simple reading.

Toddler Story Time - 30 minutes of songs and games for kids with a longer reading.

We could separate the kids into three age categories:

0-2 Years old

2-4 Years old

4-7 Years old

Each age group would have their own 25-40 minute session.

We can sing and dance to the songs from the Hyojeong Nuri Festival.

Hoondok readings would be from a text about True Mother’s life. In Japan, new parents receive a book-set about True Parents life. It is complete with songs and music. My wife and I could translate that book-set into English and use that material as our Hoondok readings.

Our goal is to have our first gathering in October 2023.
